Overview
In Dronedesk, elevated Admin or Super Admin privileges cannot be assigned directly through the user interface. Account-level elevation must be granted manually by Dronedesk Support to ensure security and account integrity.
Whether you are requesting Admin status for yourself or for a colleague, follow the step-by-step instructions below.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Obtain Approval from the Primary Account Owner
Elevated Admin access can only be granted upon explicit request or confirmation from the registered primary Super Admin on the account.
If you are a standard user requesting Admin privileges for yourself or a colleague, ask your account's primary Super Admin to send the email request directly.
Step 2: Compose the Request Email
Send an email to [email protected] from the Super Admin email address registered to your Dronedesk account.
Include the following information in the email:
User's Full Name: The name of the person who needs Admin access.
User's Registered Email: The email address associated with their Dronedesk user profile.
Access Level Requested: Request elevation to Super Admin or Admin status.
Step 3: Account Elevation
Once the support team receives and verifies the request, they will update the user's permissions and notify you when the account elevation is complete.
Alternative Option: Managing Operational Roles in the UI
If Admin or Super Admin access is not required, you can manage user operational roles and feature permissions directly within the app without contacting support:
Assign Operational Roles: Go to Team Members > Edit next to the user's name to assign primary or secondary roles (e.g., Administrator, Remote Pilot, Ground Crew).
Restrict Access & Permissions: Go to Settings > Workflow Configuration > Workflow Permissions to adjust what standard users can view or edit (e.g., restricting pilots so they only see their assigned jobs or clients).
