If you use Dropbox and want to link it to Dronedesk, you can do so at three levels: business, project, and job.
Go to the top right menu, click “Settings”, then select “Integrations” and choose “Dropbox.”
You’ll see a field asking for a Dropbox shared folder URL.
In Dropbox, locate your business folder, click “Share”, go to “Settings”, and generate either a view only or editable link.
Copy the link and paste it into Dronedesk.
Click “Test Access.”
If successful, the folder will display in a frame within Dronedesk.
Click “Looks Good” to confirm.
There is additional guidance provided if anything goes wrong.
Your business level Dropbox folder is now connected.
Go to a project in Dronedesk and click “Edit Project.”
Scroll down to the Dropbox folder section.
In Dropbox, open your project folder, click “Share”, and copy the link.
Paste the link into the field in Dronedesk and save the changes.
When you return to Manage Project, you’ll now see both the business level and project level folders under the Dropbox tab. You can access files from these folders directly, download them, and manage them as needed.
Open a job under the project, then click “Edit Job.”
In Dropbox, go to the specific job folder, click “Share”, and create a link if one hasn’t been created.
Copy the link, paste it into the Dropbox field in Dronedesk, and save the changes.
After setup, when you visit the job record, you’ll see a Dropbox section displaying:
The business level folder
The project level folder
The job specific folder
Each section allows you to access and download files as needed, creating a seamless connection between your Dropbox structure and your Dronedesk workspace.
