When you manage a job in Dronedesk, everything you need is presented on a single, unified screen. However, if there are sections you don’t want to appear on-screen, or if there are sections showing up in exports (like job packs, RAMS, or custom exports) that you’d rather exclude, you can fully customise these settings.
You can configure section visibility in two ways:
Go to the top-right menu, click “Settings,” then choose “Job Sections.”
Or, if you're already in a job, click the gear icon to go straight to the Manage Job Sections page.
Dronedesk allows you to tailor section visibility based on the type of job—such as:
Simple
Complex
Standard
And other job types like simulation or indoor
To configure these:
Simply tick or untick the boxes next to each section.
For example, if you don’t want the Operational Notes section to appear in jobs of type Complex, just untick that option. It will then be hidden from all complex jobs across the system.
You can also control whether each section appears in:
On-screen views
Job packs
RAMS
Custom exports
A few key points:
If a section is included in any export format, it must also appear on-screen.
However, it’s fine to have a section visible on-screen only and not included in exports.
Any changes you make here will apply across all jobs of the selected type—both current and historic. This ensures consistency and saves you from having to adjust visibility on a job-by-job basis.
With this flexibility, Dronedesk gives you full control over how your job data is displayed and shared.
