To create a method statement template in Dronedesk, go to the top-right menu, select Settings, then click Method Statements. From there, you can start composing your method statement.
You can write in plain text, but you also have the flexibility to insert tables, images, and other content as needed.
For example, to add your company logo at the top:
Click Upload > Browse for Image
Select your logo or banner image
The image will then appear in your method statement layout
If you want to add a table, such as one for pilots to report any issues encountered on-site, you can do that too. Just like in Excel, you can adjust the table properties, including border styles, background colours, and more.
To insert placeholders, place your cursor where you want the data to appear, then select the relevant placeholder from the dropdown list. For instance, you might want to insert a link to the Emergency Contacts section of the job. That placeholder will automatically be replaced with the correct link when the method statement is attached to a job.
Once your template is set up the way you want it, click Save. You can then use the Preview button to check the layout and design. There's also a full-page editing view available, which can make editing easier than working in the default smaller window.
With these tools, Dronedesk allows you to create clear, detailed, and branded method statements that are ready to be reused across your jobs.
