When it comes to risk assessment scoring, Dronedesk gives you full control over how scores are calculated and displayed.
To configure these options:
Go to the top-right menu, select Settings, then click Risk Assessments
Click the gear icon to access Risk Scoring Configuration
In this section, you’ll find several settings:
Matrix colours
Choose between a standard 3-colour matrix or a broader colour range to better visualise risk severity.
Risk score display
You can choose to show the numerical score within each cell of the matrix and select a colour for how that score is displayed.
Score components
You can also enable the display of the score components below each square, such as "Probability: 3, Severity: 5".
Per-risk score calculation
Choose between:
Additive: where Probability 2 + Severity 3 = Total Score 5
Multiplicative: where Probability 2 × Severity 3 = Total Score 6
Overall risk score calculation
Decide how the total score for the entire risk assessment is calculated:
Summation: adds all individual risk scores (e.g. 2 + 6 + 6 + 10 + 10 + 20 = 54)
Average: calculates the mean score (in this case, 9)
Maximum: uses the highest individual risk score (e.g. 20)
These options provide the flexibility needed to align with most risk management approaches and internal safety protocols.
